So I Bought an amount of P20, there were also P5 and P10 depending on your budget. So affordable, isn’t it?

So Corny!

Only in the Philippines, you can taste this kind of food. It’s a Boiled Corn, with cheese powder and sugar. Mixed in a plastic cup and served to the customer.

Undeniably, the Philippines is an agricultural country, we produced also corn. But I was wondering why is that the corn that I bought is too juicy and very tasty. Most of the Corn in the Philippines is not that delicious, coz that’s a feed-corn was cultured for hogs, well for human also.

Japanese Corn in Davao (Photos by Bob Martin )
As per my research, it’s Japanese corn. But the question is, are we importing corn from JAPAN for our consumption? Very Ironic, We import Corn and the selling price here is cheaper. How come?

I checked Google which leads me to the accurate answer. Japanese Corn is available in Davao as per Bob Martin (Publisher & Editor in Chief of the Live in the Philippines). “If you are in Davao, you can find this corn along Buhangin Road, along the south side of the road.  His store is about 750 meters from the Buhangin Underpass, toward the city.  I highly recommend this place if you like corn like I do!” He mentioned.

I was very thankful for Bob’s article since I'm planning to go to Davao, and another item was added to my list. P35/Kilo is worth a pasalubong.

So Sweet!

Mouthwatering Thingy

When I started to taste the Sweetened Cheese Corn, I realized that Filipinos are really skillful in innovating products. From raw corn, we come up with this very tasteful food. The color of the cheese powder arouses my appetite to eat it and order another one. It was most delicious. The flavor and texture were outstanding.

Unfortunately, when I went out, the vendor already left.

So Cheesy!

I really love cheese, it adds up the foods to become mouthwatering. This is very nutritive, easy, and tasteful. Nutritive in a way that it is a popular food that’s known for its yellow color, its pleasant taste, and its unique ability to be eaten.
