Is Dental Brace Made Intentionally For Fashion?

by
Advertisement by Google:

It has been a year since I started the process of having a dental brace. My first and initial reason was to be tagged as “SOSHAL” since that’s what the majority says – when you’re wearing braces , somewhat you’re capable of purchasing one as the price is quite emeldific.

I went to a clinic situated along Boni Avenue; Mandaluyong City named Oral Wellness Dental Clinic. Dr. Chua – the dentist advised me that there are crowded teeth on lower part and on my upper part , there is  misalignment of the two front teeth. “Nahalata ko” (I noticed) it every time I looked at in the mirror.  In addition to that, I really have poor oral hygiene since I am too busy   to allocate enough time to clean my teeth after I grabbed a bite. To sum it up, I am qualified to undergo such procedure given that there is really needs to be corrected.

On my first week of wearing the brace, it was so tight, it was painful, it was uncomfortable and truly, I lost my appetite. So therefore, it was a sacrifice. “Tiis Ganda”!

Dr. Chua said “Braces is not for fashion, it is for medical purposes.”

“There are patients that after we installed the brackets, they will no longer comeback assuming that it is okay to wear it for a long span of time - for fashion reason. “He added.

“We only limit the patients of wearing braces up to two years, and if not, there is something wrong with the procedures and we need to do something about it.”

“Some patients buy their own brackets and just watch DIY videos online. It is a big NO, since there is an appropriate measure in every tooth. Patronizing this approach may lead them to a serious case on the later part”

Indeed, my adherence of visiting my dentist for the adjustment is very strict. I made sure to go back to the clinic regularly so the Doctor can double check if there is a movement of my teeth.  Having a brace is not a joke, aside from the expenses, allotting time for the visit; I also experienced numerous mouth sores.  That pain is will not justify for you to get a brace for fashion only.

October 23, 2017, I became free. Dr. Chua removed my braces as the result was very fast and successful. I got now a perfect smile and bite. However, I have two missing molars on upper part and one on my lower part – both missing teeth – I asked the dentist what are my options.

Watch the video below as Dr. Mike Chua explained the various options whenever I’m ready to avail the dentures He discussed it...

October, 28 2017. I went back to the clinic to pick up my retainer. Retainer is requisite and essential to wear after the removal of the braces to retain the corrected alignment of the teeth. It will take another year or so – for you to wear it regularly.

Meanwhile, do you still remember when I published a blog about my experience towards Oral Wellness Dental Clinic? I wrote it from my heart and from what I personally experienced without sugar-coating. I didn’t know that it became an avenue of my readers to consider visiting this clinic. I just know it when Dr. Chua personally told me and he gave thanks to me for the positive feedback.

“My patients told me that they discovered the clinic through your blog.” Dr. Chua said.

“You deserved it Doc. Indeed, my readers also deserve to know and to experience what I personally experienced” I answered.

Surprisingly, Dr. Chua gave me the retainer for free and they even included the dentures for free.

“I am giving this for free as you blogged us, you don’t need to do something for us in return. This is an early Christmas gift to you. We read your article and it was genuine “.

#PubertyChallenge is not Just a Challenge, It has a Deeper Impact.

by

Taking a glance to your old pictures of  your childhood maybe the best subject of laughter with your friends; those awkward pictures wherein you look so much different and awful than today. Some of us, we even tend to hide and never show those pictures to anybody assuming that it will just embarrass you.

Puberty maybe the toughest stage –e.g. rapid development of your physical attributes, dramatic increase of hormones, heavy loads both in school and at home, and personal problems. Indeed, it is a stage of “Make or Break”, are you gonna make it?

Recently, due to the rise of social media in which we can easily share our stories online, #PUBERTYChallenge became trending among netizens. This is a challenge that online people are encouraged to post their before and after photos highlighting their adolescence stage versus their current pictures.  Truly, it was a challenge since it is extremely difficult to brag your most unpleasant photos online and show on how you became visually pleasant as the time goes.

Honestly, #PubertyChallenge means a lot to me. It is a way for me to look back in my past, how I started to dream and how I did the move to reach those things that I dreamt about. And now, I am already 30 years old and when I look at those old pictures, I can see the Jonathan Orbuda – who used to strive. It reminds me that I need to be grateful on what I have and who I am today.

Undeniably, we always complain the difficulties we’re currently experiencing, to the point that we forgot to remember those days we started to build our dreams.  We focus on the negative sides saying “Ang Hirap naman ng Buhay” but if you take a look your old pictures; can you still evaluate yourself today? Where you at today in comparison to your old pictures? Are you really living with difficulties today or you’re just not being grateful. Try to take a look at your old pictures and compare it with your pictures today – do you see any growth and development? If none, then I must say, you have the right to complain and not to be grateful.

Last week, I created  #PubertyChallenge Contest. Below are the photos who took the #PubertyChallenge .

Winner is ANA RICA CUNANAN– she will receive a limited Youtube Sunglasses from “I Love Tansyong TV”

Thanks to all who joined.

Bringing Back The College Day Memoirs + Meet Me Halfway Cover Song.

College life is not easy in comparison to High School life. Aside from the numerous projects and expenses, there are also personal problems which may arise unexpectedly and simultaneously. There are moments that we’re about to give up.

Personally, my college days were not that easy but good thing I was able to handle it gracefully. Perhaps, it’s because I have this strong passion and impetuous of reaching my dreams- to finish my degree. It was undeniably tough “YES, IT WAS!”  But despite of those stressful experiences and mind-breaking challenges, I never ever forget how to have fun since personally I really love fun activities.  Since I don’t have enough money during that time to support (dreamed) expensive fun – e.g. going to malls, travel, bar. Then, I spent most of my spare time with my classmates singing at some Karaoke establishments around the University’s vicinity – University of Rizal System, Binangonan Campus.

In fact, right after our lunch, one of my classmates recorded this video while I was singing my favourite song – Meet Me Halfway.  I recovered this video in my old Youtube Channel (which I already deleted because I have my new one), then downloaded, and edited to become more visually pleasant.

Watch the video below.

Good thing, I was able to save a copy of this video for the reason that by watching this – I am able to remember my college days and how it was challenging. I am able to look back where I came from – “My Humble Beginning when I was a dreamer”.  With those entire fracas – I’m very thankful because without those, I maybe weak these days.

Thank you so much for watching and see you in my next blog.

It is very beneficial to travel with friends, office-mates or even with a group of random backpackers. This is due to the fact – the more participants, the cheaper expenses will be. This is the main goal of Biyahe Ni Juan, a backpacker club that highlights of travelling in a shoestring budget. In addition, it is also advisable to travel once in a while and escape the stress from your work and the lifestyle in the urban zone.

BiyaheNiJuan is a recreational-centric group joined by numerous BPO workers with same goals. Their goal is to take a trip the cheapest way possible and to allocate a spare time for each member to travel – as much as possible when schedule permits.

“It is important that you have to spend time for yourself, and by traveling – it can help you recharge and become more positive when you go back to your work” Rambo said, one of the proponents of BiyaheNiJuan.

“In BiyaheNiJuan, we are advocating and persuading BPO Workers and alike that traveling doesn’t need to be expensive” he added.

I joined this lifestyle club because this group is truly inline to what I loved the most – to travel.  The first travel destination was Bolinao, Pangasinan.
