Unboxing, Testing & Honest Review: Ugreen Hitune Max5C Audio Noise-Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones.

Finding the Perfect Budget ANC Headphones: My Personal Experience

In today’s fast-paced digital world, having a reliable pair of headphones is no longer a luxury—it’s a necessity. Whether you’re working from home, traveling, or simply enjoying your favorite music, good sound quality and noise cancellation can make all the difference.

Recently, I got my hands on the Ugreen Hitune Max5C Audio Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones, a budget-friendly ANC headphone that I purchased for only PHP 1,019—an incredible discount from its original price of PHP 4,000. With such a huge price drop, I couldn’t resist testing it out and sharing my honest thoughts with you.

If you’re looking for an affordable pair of noise-canceling headphones, keep reading! This review will cover the unboxing experience, sound quality, ANC performance, comfort, build quality, and app functionality—plus some tips on how to maximize your experience with these headphones.

Unboxing: First Impressions Matter

As soon as I received the package, I was eager to unbox it. The Ugreen Hitune Max5C came in a sleek and minimalist box, giving off a premium feel despite its budget price. Inside the box, I found:

• ✅ The Ugreen Hitune Max5C Headphones
• ✅ USB-C Charging Cable
• ✅ 1 Type to Type C and  1 Type A to Type C  (for wired use and charge)
• ✅ User Manual & Warranty Card

The headphones themselves looked sturdy and well-designed, though I could immediately tell that the build quality wasn’t as premium as higher-end models like Sony’s WH-1000XM4 or Bose QuietComfort. But for the price? No complaints so far.

🎥 WATCH THE VLOG:

Sound Quality: How Does It Perform?

Now, let’s talk about the most important part—the sound quality. After testing it with different genres of music, I found that:

🎵 Bass-Heavy Sound Profile – If you love punchy bass, you’ll enjoy these headphones. The low frequencies are deep and energetic, perfect for EDM and hip-hop lovers.🎵 Balanced Mids & Highs – Vocals and instruments are clear, though some finer details get lost compared to high-end models.🎵 Customizable via Ugreen App – The dedicated app allows you to adjust the EQ settings to suit your preferences, which is a great feature for audiophiles.

👉 Pro Tip: If you feel the sound isn’t balanced, use the app’s EQ settings to fine-tune your listening experience!

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC): Does It Work?

One of the biggest selling points of this headphone is its Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) feature. While testing in different environments, I noticed:

• 🔇 Good ANC Performance in Moderate Noise – It effectively blocks out office chatter, air conditioning noise, and background hums.
• 🔇 Not as Strong in Noisy Areas – In very loud environments (like busy streets or airplanes), it struggles a bit compared to premium ANC headphones.

👉 Pro Tip: If you’re in an extremely noisy area, pair ANC with some background music to improve noise isolation.

Comfort & Build Quality: Long-Lasting or Not?

• 🎧 Comfort Level: The soft ear cups make it comfortable for long listening sessions without causing ear fatigue.
• 🏗️ Build Quality: Feels solid, but the materials aren’t as premium as higher-end competitors. Some parts feel slightly plasticky, though they don’t feel cheap.

👉 Pro Tip: If you’re planning to use these for long hours, take short breaks to avoid ear discomfort!

App Functionality: A Game-Changer?

The Ugreen App enhances the headphone’s usability by offering:

• 📲 EQ Customization – Fine-tune the sound according to your liking.
• 📲 ANC Modes – Switch between different noise cancellation levels.
• 📲 Firmware Updates – Keep your headphones up to date with the latest features.

👉 Pro Tip: Always update your firmware to ensure the best performance and bug fixes!

Final Verdict: Is It Worth Buying?

After extensively testing the Ugreen Hitune Max5C, here’s my final verdict:

✅ Best For: Budget-conscious buyers who want decent ANC and good sound quality.

✅ Pros: Affordable, solid ANC for the price, great bass-heavy sound, comfortable fit, customizable EQ.

✅ Cons: Build quality could be better, ANC isn’t as strong as premium models. The Mic Audio is not that clear enough to use in a business setting like in call centers or work-from-home office setup. This is perfect for listening but not for speaking.

⭐ Rating: 4/5 Stars ⭐

For just PHP 1,019, this is a steal! If you’re looking for an affordable ANC headphone that delivers decent performance, good sound, and useful features, the Ugreen Hitune Max5C is worth considering.

Tech Tips: How to Make the Most of Your Bluetooth Headphones

Before I end this blog, here are some pro tips to get the best experience out of your Bluetooth headphones:

• 🔹 Optimize Battery Life – Avoid overcharging and always store your headphones properly.
• 🔹 Update Firmware Regularly – Many budget headphones improve over time with software updates.
• 🔹 Use ANC Wisely – Turn off ANC when not needed to extend battery life.
• 🔹 Adjust EQ Settings – Every person has a different sound preference, so experiment with the equalizer for the best audio experience.

I hope this review helps you decide if the Ugreen Hitune Max5C is the right ANC headphone for you. Let me know in the comments—would you buy this? Or do you have a better budget ANC headphone recommendation? 👇

📱 Is It Worth It? Giving My Samsung S8 Plus a New Life with a Screen Replacement.

Smartphones are more than just gadgets—they're our lifelines. From work emails to scrolling through social media and capturing life's best moments, we rely on them for almost everything. That's why I couldn't let go of my trusted Samsung S8 Plus, even after four years of loyal service and a broken screen. Yes, I know, four years is a lifetime in tech years, but this phone has been my go-to companion through thick and thin. Instead of splurging on a brand-new phone, I decided to invest PHP 12,200 to give it a new lease on life by replacing its cracked screen. Was it worth it? Let me walk you through my experience and why I believe it’s a smart choice for tech enthusiasts like me.

  🎥 WATCH THE VLOG:

Why I Decided to Repair Instead of Replace.

Let's face it—buying a brand-new flagship phone these days costs an arm and a leg. While the latest models are tempting, the cost can often be impractical, especially when my Samsung S8 Plus is still running smoothly. From the excellent camera quality to reliable performance, this device has aged gracefully. The only issue was the shattered screen, which made it difficult (and occasionally frustrating) to use. Instead of shelling out PHP 50,000 or more for a new smartphone, I opted for a screen replacement that cost only PHP 12,200. It was a decision rooted in sustainability, practicality, and a touch of sentimentality.

The Repair Process: Quick and Hassle-Free

Getting the screen replaced was easier than I anticipated. After researching several authorized service centers, I chose a reliable one known for handling Samsung devices. The repair process took less than a day, and when I finally got my S8 Plus back, it felt like I was holding a brand-new phone. The new screen was flawless—no glitches, no discoloration, and it was perfectly responsive. For anyone worried about third-party repairs, I recommend sticking to authorized centers to ensure quality parts and proper installation.

Why It’s a Smart Choice for Techies

For those of us who love tech, it’s easy to get caught up in the allure of the latest gadgets. But let’s not forget that older devices like the Samsung S8 Plus are still capable of handling most of today’s apps and tasks. By opting for a repair, not only are you saving money, but you’re also contributing to reducing electronic waste. Plus, the S8 Plus, with its sleek design and AMOLED display, still holds its ground against many mid-range phones released today. Investing in repairs instead of replacements is a practical way to extend the life of your gadgets while staying budget-friendly.

Performance After Repair: As Good as New

After the screen replacement, my Samsung S8 Plus is back to delivering top-notch performance. From watching videos in high resolution to running multiple apps without lag, it’s performing like a champ. The battery life is still decent, and I’ve always loved its wireless charging feature. In short, the repair didn’t just fix the cosmetic issue—it renewed my appreciation for this incredible device. It’s a reminder that old doesn’t mean obsolete, especially in the world of tech.

Final Thoughts: Repairing Is Caring (for Your Wallet and the Planet)

If you’re a tech enthusiast like me, you probably have a soft spot for your gadgets. Giving my Samsung S8 Plus a second chance proved to be a rewarding decision—one that saved me money and kept my trusted device in my hands a little longer. Whether you’re dealing with a broken screen or other minor issues, consider repair as an option before rushing to upgrade. It’s budget-friendly, environmentally conscious, and a great way to continue enjoying the devices you love. So, if you’ve been wondering whether it’s worth it to repair an older smartphone—take it from me: it absolutely is!

UNBOXING GONE WRONG! 😱 My New Induction Cooker Disaster

When it comes to upgrading kitchen appliances, unboxing a new gadget is usually an exciting experience. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case with my latest purchase from Lazada—a TARAWA Multi-Function Induction Cooker. What started as a promising addition to my kitchen quickly turned into a frustrating ordeal!

  🎥 WATCH THE VLOG:

Why I Bought a New Induction Cooker

After years of reliable service, my old induction cooker finally gave up, leaving me no choice but to find a replacement. Browsing through Lazada’s vast selection, I came across the TARAWA Multi-Function Induction Cooker, which boasted features like fast heating, high-temperature protection, and no microwave radiation. The specs were impressive, and it seemed like the perfect choice for my needs.

This induction cooker was advertised as having:

• 8 Control Modes for versatile cooking
• Auto-Diagnosis and Protection Functions for safety
• Fast Heating Technology for efficient cooking
• 2200W Power Output for high performance

At a reasonable price and glowing reviews, I was sold.

The Unboxing Experience

As soon as the package arrived, I couldn’t wait to unbox it. The sleek design and promised functionality seemed to match the product description perfectly. However, as I prepared to plug it in, I was met with an unexpected problem—the plug had only one pin instead of the standard three-pronged plug (Earth, Neutral, and Hot pins)!

This design flaw wasn’t just a minor inconvenience; it was a serious safety concern. Without a proper earth pin, there’s a risk of electrical shocks, especially when using an appliance as powerful as this induction cooker.

What Went Wrong

Upon closer inspection, it became clear that this wasn’t a design oversight but rather a defective item. The induction cooker I received was simply not safe to use. I immediately contacted Lazada for a return and refund, explaining the issue. While I appreciated their prompt response, the whole experience left me feeling disappointed.

Should You Buy the TARAWA Induction Cooker?

Based on my unboxing disaster, here’s my honest take:

Pros:

1. The design and features on paper are impressive.
2. 8 control modes offer versatility for cooking different types of dishes.
3. Fast heating technology could be a time-saver.

Cons:

1. Quality control seems to be lacking, as I received a defective unit.
2. A missing earth pin is a significant safety hazard.
3. The hassle of requesting a return and waiting for a replacement.

If you’re considering purchasing this model, I strongly recommend checking the plug and overall condition of the product upon delivery.

My Advice for Online Shoppers

This experience taught me a valuable lesson about buying appliances online. Here are some tips for fellow online shoppers:

• Read Reviews Thoroughly: Focus on reviews that highlight potential defects or safety issues.
• Check the Return Policy: Ensure the seller has a clear and easy return process.
• Inspect Immediately: Open and test the product as soon as it arrives.
• Don’t Compromise on Safety: For appliances, especially those involving electricity, prioritize safety over convenience.

Final Thoughts

While this unboxing didn’t go as planned, I remain optimistic about finding the right induction cooker for my kitchen. If you’ve experienced a similar situation or have recommendations for a reliable model, let me know in the comments.

Stay tuned for more honest reviews and unboxing stories! Hopefully, my next one will have a happier ending.

Let’s learn from these unboxing mishaps and continue to make informed choices. Don’t forget to share this blog with your fellow online shoppers—it might save them from a similar disaster!
