I recently decided to try out GoTyme Bank and was pleasantly surprised by how seamless the process was. After downloading the app on my phone, I signed up by scanning a valid government ID and taking a selfie. In just under five minutes, I had a fully functional account with a digital Visa Card. This swift process stood out to me because it eliminated the usual hassle of waiting days for approval and card issuance. The app interface was intuitive, guiding me effortlessly through each step, which made the entire experience stress-free.

The convenience didn't stop there. Eager to get my hands on a physical card, I visited the nearest GoTyme Bank kiosk. The process of printing my physical Visa Card was quick and straightforward. Within moments, I had a sleek, tangible card in my hand, ready for use. This immediate access to both digital and physical versions of my card demonstrated GoTyme Bank's commitment to providing an efficient and user-centric banking experience. The entire journey, from signing up to holding my card, took less than an hour, leaving me highly impressed.

Parents, Why It is Important To Save For Your Retirement?

Your Future Children are not Investments to Aim for ROI!

parents having a child as insurance and investment when getting older, evaluate your personal finance before helping others, working 3 jobs to feed 10 mouths, duties of a breadwinner, communicate to your family that earning money is not easy, adulting, life story, toxic filipino culture examples, toxic filipino culture podcast, toxic filipino family culture money, practical wisdom

Do not consider having kids as insurance when you will get older. Retirement savings is a top priority for many savers. Saving now for retirement will ensure that you have enough money to enjoy a comfortable standard of living when you stop or reduce the number of hours you work. Consistent, dedicated saving might not be glamorous, but it will give you far more freedom and control over your lifestyle down the road.

Depending on children for retirement has been the mindset of many Filipino Parents. They consider the kids as the medium to escape poverty when they grow up. This is something that we need to change in our mindset and culture, we need to make sure that we have prepared financially when we get older because if this will persist, the cycle will just continue, your kids will also depend on their future kids and the infinite toxic practice will never stop.

And if you are one of the kids that is the breadwinner. If you don’t want to be treated as a retirement fund in the future, start by becoming fully independent from your parents. Being independent doesn't mean that you disgrace and abandon them. Always remember, You have your own futures to prepare for and so do your future kids as well.

Start renting your own place and avoid asking for financial assistance unless it’s an emergency and is absolutely necessary. This way, your parents will understand they cannot depend on you (financially) because you’ve already stopped depending on them.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆.

First and foremost, I want to address why I’m sharing this information. Talking about money is often considered taboo, especially in a public forum. However, I believe in transparency and want to bring you along on my journey, whether it leads to success or failure. By being open about my finances, I hope to inspire others to be more mindful about their own financial health and to demystify the realities of managing money in Manila

As a simple worker in BPO-IT and Call Center Industry in Manila , my income varies slightly from month to month, but on average, I earn around PHP 40,000 (as of  recording this video, June  19, 2019) . This figure includes my base salary, occasional overtime pay, and any side gigs I manage to pick up. While it might not seem like much, it's enough to cover my basic needs and allows me to live a modest lifestyle.

𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗠𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝘀.

Living in Manila comes with its own set of financial challenges. Here’s a breakdown of my typical monthly expenses:

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀

By sharing my income and expenses, I hope to provide a realistic picture of what it’s like to live on a modest salary in Manila. Will You Sacrifice Your Highest Paid Job to Fulfill Your Passion?

I just want to look back those moments that I started doing my “I Love Tansyong” blog.  It was just a dream at first; creating a travel blog requires you to travel a lot and in line to this, it requires you as well to have enough budgets in sustaining such lifestyle. Indeed, it was a tough pronouncement to start this kind of dream to become reality. But the impetuous of doing it is extremely high that no one can hinds against it.

Advertisement by Google:
My passion of travelling and sharing my experiences are both my passion. Since I was a kid, I’ve been dreaming of becoming a rich man someday and so I can saunter the whole world – with no scarcity. But it wasn’t the situation; I grew up with my Grandparents in Bohol who worked as a government employee. I made bringing myself in the urban zone of Manila and studying hard believing that education is the key to success. I graduated and continuously weaving words online using the blog platforms. Thanks to Google I also earned a minimal amount from doing it. I   saved it up and started looking for a permanent job which brought me into becoming a banker.

I was chasing pavements and looking for a higher pay job so that I can carry out my original dream – Travel.  I ended up in a Call Centre Industry which is undeniably helped me a lot of pleasing my dream. But there is still a challenge behind, I thought that having a job that gives me an enough pay will also give me an easy way to travel. Highest pay job is accompanied by sacrificing your time – working eight hours a day, five days a week. Not to mentioned the time that was wasted due to congested traffic going to work and back home. It was nerve-racking yet you have to go with it since as you increase your salary, in proportion to that, your expenses also increases – eg. Utility bills, mortgage, insurance and etcetera.

But still even that fracas, I kept on holding my dreams. Until recently, I was involved into this new platform named “Youtube” wherein it’s an innovative way of sharing my content and at the same time earning penny from it. I started to incorporate Youtube videos into my blog which works perfectly to me. I started becoming more vibrant in the workplace because I have something to look forward once I got back home – writing my online content, editing videos and building my brand online.

Numerous dreamers say to get a genuine self fulfillment, “You have to give up your stable job and pursue your passion” which is partly correct as “You can’t worship two gods at the same time”. However it doesn’t apply to everyone, it may applicable to those who grew up in a well-off family wherein they still have someone whom can rescue them in times of need. But to those who are like me, it is totally not a coward approach of not letting go your stable job to continue your passion. Use your stable job to hunt your passion instead. Make it as an advantage. It (pursuing dream) might not happen abruptly but by using your rational side in doing this decision-making, obviously it works slowly but surely.

I can’t have my laptop, camera, and phone and internet connection without my job. Having those medium, I can now easily reach my dream of creating content from my travels.

Sacrificing your stable highest paid job to shadow your passion will give you actually a gunning definition of who you are. I knew a lot of creative people who are still working in a job that they’re not really passionate about because that’s what really the reality is .Other needs to send money to their family or what not. It is poignant but true, and I must admit that my fervour of becoming a traveler and content creator is not sufficient enough to pay my mortgage and bill. Yet my permanent job can pay my bill and above all, it can pay to keep going my passion.

As I always highlight – our decision must be in a realistic approach, sometimes our heart isn’t giving a rigid judgement and so taking risk is not that measurable enough to avoid any fortuitous events in the future which lead you to an extreme regret.

Travel Income from Google Adsense, Nuffnang, Bidvertiser, Yahoo Ads and Direct Ads.

A soldier will not go to a battlefield without an arm. Just like a backpacker, a rational backpacker won’t take risk without preparation. These preparations can be physical, psychological and financial. So, you really need to allocate a certain amount from your salary for your weekend getaways.

But what if, you experienced scarcity of resources due to your monthly bills (e.i electric, water, rental, foods, food for you dog, internet connection, etc) and you really want to travel. Don’t worry; we are in the same page. So let me share you some of my sidelines that will surely help you in fulfilling your dreams to travel.

I don’t just Travel instead I blogged every places I’ve been, every adventures I’ve experienced, every food I’ve tasted. “How you earned in blogging?” my friends always ask me that. I simply smiled to them without giving further explanation.

Truly, I love documenting every travel. So why not earning from it? In fact, I am just practical, Do what you love the most and earn from it.

Google Adsense.

Advertisement by Google:
Google AdSense is a program run by Google that allows publishers in the Google Network of content sites to serve automatic text, image, video, or interactive media advertisements that are targeted to site content and audience. These advertisements are administered, sorted, and maintained by Google, and they can generate revenue on either a per-click or per-impression basis. Adsense is reliable source of income.

You just need to sign up for an AdSense account. However, getting an approval in AdSense is like travelling in Sahara Desert (you know what I meant). But there are techniques and tricks to have a quick approval from AdSense team. Actually, I already had an AdSense account prior on doing a travel blog and I earned from it but unfortunately got suspended due to some policy violations. That’s how google AdSense strictly monitored your account especially if you become a highest paid blogger. Getting an approval before was very easy compared today.

What I did?

1. Create a GMAIL Account. Sign up a YouTube account and upload an original content video. Apply for partnership for AdSense and within 24hr you will get a notification for the approval.

2. After you get an approval using your YouTube, you can now access your AdSense account using your GMAIL.

3. Google required you to have more than 6 months old blog, active, informative, with at least 50 posts with average of 500 words every post. Actually, you can search some tricks but this is my own experience. Ignore all the requirements; all you need to do is create a dummy blog. Submit it to AdSense, of course AdSense will check your dummy blog and expectedly they will reject it because obviously you were not able to meet there requirements. But don’t worry here is the trick. Before AdSense can check your dummy blog, they will provide a JavaScript code that you will need to paste it on your dummy blog. That HTML/JavaScript code is very important. Keep it and copy it. Don’t worry the rejected dummy blog.

4. Start now your legit blog, I meant you official blog. This time, paste the HTML/JavaScript that you copied. Surprisingly, Google AdSense ADS will run in your official blog without waiting for 6 months and writing 50 posts. And you will start now earning.

5. Once your revenue reaches 10 dollars, Google AdSense will automatically verify your address that you used during the “sign up” by simply sending you a snail mail containing the PIN code. That pin code is required in verifying your address. You need to enter that PIN code right in your AdSense account, once verified, AdSense will not hold your payout anymore.

How I discovered these tips and tricks.

The “Youtube account thingy and applying as Partner” I learned it from other blog and it was very effective to have an AdSense account quickly.

Proudly, “The Dummy Blog Trick”, I discovered it on my own. I tried to meet there requirements, 6 months old blog and etc... I also buy a domain and submit it. Unfortunately, they rejected my Travel blog but when I tried to paste the HTML/Javascript that I used in the rejected Blog into my other blogs, surprisingly it runs. So therefore, it is possible for me to earn.

So since the ad is not working anymore in ilovetansyong.com. I tried to remove the domain and return to ilovetansyong.blogspot.com and luckily it’s working. Alas! I spent already for the domain however it’s not working for the ads.

Saturday, March 1, 2014, I received the letter from google to verify my address. I entered the Pin code into my AdSense account and I am now serving the ads.

I will make sure to follow the policies stated in the AdSense Agreement because getting an AdSense is not that easy. They are now strict because they maintain the safety of their advertisers. Moreover, I want to work with AdSense professionally without violating anymore just like what happened in my first account.

Nuffnang.com

In Philippines, Nuffnang office is located in Taguig City.

I’ve been with nuffnang for a long time. And I already earned from it as an extra income.

Yahoo Ads/Medianet.net

The Yahoo! Bing Network Contextual Ads program enables web publishers to easily and effectively earn advertising revenue. Publishers can now use the Media.net self-serve platform to create and customize ad units that display relevant text ads consisting of sponsored links and ad topics from the Yahoo! Bing Network.

Same as Google AdSense, You need also to get an approval of your Blog so that the ads will run. Just submit the link of your blog where the HTML/JavaScript code placed and the Yahoo Ads will check it.

BPI More Fun Prepaid Cards, Designed for Travellers and Alike.

In fact, I already have one for only PHP250. I made the application online; I customized the Image and submit it. You will get a notification in your email that BPI received your application. Just wait for a couple of days and BPI will send you an email that your MORE FUN PREPAID CARD is ready for pick up on your preferred branches. The email also includes an attachment of a FORM that you need to fill out and bring during the pickup. Bring your ID and pick up your CARD.

Personally, don’t apply for BPI More Fun Prepaid Cards at the counter because you need to go back after seven days. Much better if you apply it online because you just wait for the email, once the email is received, surely the CARD is ready. Another advantage if you apply it online, you can easily choose and upload your preferred photo for the background right from your Facebook account and choose what to write on it. Another piece of advice, during pick up, you need to go to the branch that you chose during the online application.
