I even placed some by the sink, resting gracefully on top of my water filter. And yes, two more now live in the bathroom, thriving under the occasional mist from the shower.

This dish features a crispy chicken cutlet topped with a soft egg and served over warm white rice. The sauce had that sweet and savory balance you’d expect from a good katsudon.

The chicken was cooked perfectly—crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and it still held its texture even after delivery. This one hit the spot, especially for fans of Japanese comfort food.

✅ Verdict: Worth every point. A filling, flavorful dish that makes a great lunch or dinner go-to!

🐙 Octobits Takoyaki (16 pcs) – ₱140

These bite-sized takoyaki balls were a fun surprise.

They were filled with tiny octopus bits, topped with bonito flakes, mayo, and that signature takoyaki sauce. I love that they served it in generous portions—16 pieces, perfect for sharing (or not!).

The flavor was on point—not too doughy, with a nice chewy center and crisp outer layer. Great for snacking while binge-watching your favorite K-dramas!

Here’s a rundown of what I ordered and my honest review of each:

🍲 Sinigang na Baboy – ₱319

This was the true highlight of my meal. Priced reasonably at ₱319, I’d say this serving is good for at least three to four people.

The broth had that perfectly balanced asim-tamis flavor, with a slightly oily finish that I actually found comforting—it felt rich and indulgent. After a long, draining day, that first sip of the sabaw honestly melted my stress away.

The pork used in the Sinigang was liempo, layered with skin, fat, and tender meat, which made each bite incredibly satisfying. It was soft, melt-in-the-mouth, and clearly boiled to perfection. The vegetables were generously added too: kangkong (water spinach), eggplant, okra, and even some Chinese cabbage, giving the dish a nice earthy texture.

✅ VERDICT: A bowl of pure comfort. Perfect whether you're coming home from work or nursing a hangover. A must-try!

🍗 Whole Fried Chicken – ₱552

Next up is the Whole Fried Chicken, and let me just say—this isn’t your typical fried chicken. I asked them to have it pre-cut into bite-sized pieces, and it arrived hot and ready to eat.

The aroma when I opened the container immediately caught my attention—it smelled like it had been infused with lemongrass, star anise, and what I think might be banana blossoms. Very aromatic and uniquely Filipino.

It tasted like the chicken was first boiled or steamed, then deep-fried, which gave it a crispy skin without the excess oil. The meat inside was tender and juicy, and every bite was packed with flavor—not bland or over-fried.

✅ VERDICT: Flavorful, fragrant, and thoughtfully prepared. Worth the price for a whole chicken that feels festive and comforting.

🐟 Daing na Bangus – ₱138

To complete the meal, I added Daing na Bangus to the order. At ₱138, this was a budget-friendly addition that made the meal feel even more traditional.

The bangus was crispy on the outside, flavorful, and didn’t taste overly oily or salty. Just the way I like it—simple and very nostalgic. It reminded me of breakfasts at home during weekends growing up.

✅ VERDICT: Great value, great flavor. Simple but definitely soul-satisfying.

NEWS: 🎭 The Shocking Case of Hong Ty: A Romance Scam That Fooled 1,600+ Men

 The internet is filled with stories of romance, connection, and sometimes… deceit. But none perhaps as shocking—and deeply disturbing—as the recent case of Hong Ty, a man from China who posed as a woman and scammed over 1,600 men through fake romantic relationships.

Yes, you read that right. This isn’t your typical catfishing story. This is on another level entirely.

🕵️ Who Is Hong Ty?

Hong Ty, also referred to as Hong Ti, is a biological male from Nanjing, China, who went viral in July 2025 for orchestrating one of the largest romance scams to ever hit the internet. He allegedly pretended to be a woman, using feminine disguises, wigs, and silicone body props to create an online persona that was convincing enough to emotionally and sexually manipulate hundreds of unsuspecting men.

Over time, he engaged in intimate video calls, some of which reportedly led to real-life encounters, which he secretly recorded and later shared or sold without the victims' consent.

🎥 Secret Recordings and Emotional Manipulation

According to reports, Hong Ty was not just playing a game of flirtation. He strategically built relationships, gained the trust of men, and once they were emotionally invested—or worse, sexually engaged—he recorded these moments using hidden cameras or screen recordings.

Authorities discovered a massive archive of digital material, lists of victims, detailed notes, and props used for impersonation. What makes this even more horrifying is that some victims may have been exposed to health risks, with unverified rumors circulating about the possible transmission of HIV.

🧠 A Master Manipulator or a Tragic Mind?

The case has sparked heated debates not just in China, but also in Vietnam and across Southeast Asia. Many netizens are shocked by how one person could deceive so many. But beyond the deception lies a bigger conversation: how vulnerable people can be when they’re looking for connection online.

Hong Ty knew how to play into emotional gaps—the need for affection, intimacy, and companionship. And that’s perhaps the most heartbreaking part of all: that hundreds of people believed they had found someone who cared, only to discover it was all a calculated lie.

🚨 What Can We Learn?

This scandal is a wake-up call for anyone navigating relationships in the digital age.

• Verify before you trust. Especially when it comes to meeting someone online, always take steps to ensure the person is who they say they are.
• Don’t ignore red flags. If something feels off, it probably is.
• Protect your privacy. Be cautious when sharing intimate content or having video calls with someone you don’t fully know.
• Report suspicious behavior. Authorities and platforms need your help to stop scams like this from spreading.

What makes the Hong Ty scandal even more surreal is how quickly it transformed from a cautionary tale into a pop culture phenomenon. Within days of the story breaking, parody videos flooded TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube, with content creators mimicking her exaggerated mannerisms, voice, and online persona. Memes emerged, catchphrases were coined, and the internet turned a scandal into satire. Even drag queens and performers in local bars began impersonating "Hong Ty", turning her into a full-blown act. Her “character” is now being portrayed with wigs, oversized sunglasses, and props, reenacting dramatic fake love scenes for laughs—turning a scam artist into a stage diva. 

This ironic twist has left people divided. On one hand, some see the humor as a way of processing the shock, reclaiming power through parody, and warning others through satire. On the other, critics argue that turning such a traumatic story into entertainment risks minimizing the pain of the victims—many of whom were emotionally manipulated and publicly humiliated. Regardless of where one stands, one thing is clear: Hong Ty has become a bizarre symbol of the internet age—where identity, deception, and fame intersect in unexpected and unsettling ways.

As someone who’s active online and values emotional connection, this story hit hard. It’s painful to think of how many people were manipulated, violated, and betrayed by someone they trusted. The case of Hong Ty is not just about fraud—it’s about how easily we can be deceived when we let our guard down in the name of love.

I watched your recent interview. And to be honest, I wasn’t angry—I was heartbroken.

This could’ve been an empowering conversation—a Pride Month moment that uplifted, enlightened, and reflected how far we’ve come as a community. But instead, what I witnessed was an echo chamber of internalized homophobia, outdated mindsets, and the romanticization of suffering disguised as "wisdom."

And now, by sharing that mindset with a smile, you’re passing that trauma onto the next generation, wrapped in a bow of supposed strength.

Then there’s this gem:

You’re seriously suggesting that we budget for heartbreak? That we invest our hard-earned love and money into men who treat us like stepping stones? You're not teaching us how to love—you’re teaching us how to settle. You’re grooming younger bakla to expect crumbs and call them a feast.

And this:

> “Pag gusto mo ng long-term na lalaki, dapat hindi ka modernong babae. Dapat submissive ka, tahimik, tanggap lang nang tanggap.”
