🎥 How I Spent My Weekend as a Youtuber and a Full-Time Employee?

Hi Tansyong Lovers*, in this #vlog of mine; I am trying to document my busy weekend. It was November 11, 2017 when my Saturday had a fully loaded schedule. In fact, my “OUT” from work was 6AM on Saturday as I had my regular night-shift on Friday from 9PM to 6AM. I arrived home at 7AM and took a power nap for 2 hours. I had to wake up at 9:00 AM since I have a breakfast with my office-mate.  Then went back home after breakfast to take another sleep for two hours, woke up at 12NN to prepare for Film-making Workshop.

I left home early at 12:30 PM and arrived in Cubao at 1PM. I have to wait another one hour in Cubao – “tagal kasi ng inaantay ko na co-youtuber na si Jeyps”.

Sa sobrang late niya, nauna na lang ako sa UP town center, wherein dun gaganapin ang workshop with Direk Bani Logronio” .

I didn’t expect ang traffic pala sa Tandang Sora A.K.A Katipunan. I arrived at the Workshop 30 minutes before matapos. Actually, one thing I’ve learned from the workshop – do not wait for someone who will surely arrive late; instead mauna nalang.

After the workshop, (actually meet and greet ang nangyare dahil di ako umabot sa discussion) then I have to go to McKinley Hills for a 2-hour gym session. Subsequently, went to Paranaque for a Dance Practice and headed back to McKinley Hills to grab a bite and went back home.

Honestly speaking, this content is my first attempt to #vlog my life in a whole day setting. It wasn’t easy, yet very fulfilling because while editing – then I’d realize I was able to accomplish a lot of things within a day. In addition to that, I was also able vlog it.

Watch the video below and tell me kung may time pa ba ako mag JOWA. WTF, I even don’t have time to shave my facial hair, magjowa pa kaya. Time management is the key pero kawawa naman katawan ko niyan. HAHAHA!

Thanks for watching Tansyong Lovers, I hope you enjoyed it.

Travel fitness: Tips on Packing, clothes, and gear

    Advertisement by Google:
First things first, what luggage are you taking? You will need to decide whether you're choosing rolling luggage or a backpack. Of course, if your plan is to go backpacking the latter is the best choice for you. Otherwise, rolling luggage is a great plan as it's easy to get around with. You can choose one small enough to take as hand luggage or opt for something larger for longer trips. For the shorter trips, though, you may want to consider a traditional backpack as it will help you limit your packing.

    Packing

With a bit of planning and organisation, the sky really is the limit when it comes to packing smart.

This is a time to be ruthless because not everything can come. Think about what items you can easily buy when you arrive at your destination, what items will likely be available where you are staying, and what you can't possibly live without for your time away. This should make the decision process a bit simpler.

Socks can be slipped into shoes; you can roll clothes within clothes. There are plenty of innovative ways to get everything in there. You should be able to balance your needs with your wants between your checked luggage and hand luggage. Remember to keep any valuables with you on the plane, though you should avoid travelling with anything too valuable.

    Clothing

Before you can pack a single item of clothing (well, beyond undergarments and socks) you need to check the weather for your chosen destination. If you will be travelling to multiple places then you'll need to check the weather for each place to be sure you are covered for every eventuality. It's a good idea to invest in rain clothing so that you can throw it over your clothes and not worry about getting saturated while out and about.

Chinos are a great option because they wear well, are easy to mix and match with outfits, and are lighter in comparison to jeans. So, consider a few pairs of chinos and bring extra tops so you can easily mix and match as required. Another important thing to consider is outerwear like sweaters. Rather than packing lots of heavy items, layering up is easier so bring lighter items and wear multiples if the weather dictates.

When it comes to shoes try to limit this as they get heavy. You'll want comfortable shoes for walking, a nicer pair of shoes for any dinners you have planned, and a spare pair for any other eventuality (for sunny destinations this is likely flip flops or sandals).

Don't forget gloves, a scarf, and an umbrella if it's going to be cold on your travels. You may also want to consider thicker socks for this type of trick.

    Gear

The most important thing for anyone these days - chargers! Whether it's laptops, phones or tablets – you need to make sure those (and their chargers) are packed handy so you can easily grab them when you need them. Ideally, those are for your hand luggage and most airports now offer ports in the lounges.

Now, don't forget your toiletries. If you aren't checking any luggage you will need to keep your liquids separate from the rest as they have to be produced at security. So, bear that in mind as you are packing. Luckily, you are now allowed to take a razor on the aeroplane, so you don't need to worry about that. You should also pack a spare, empty bag to keep your dirty laundry in. You may have access to laundry facilities and you may not, so you should be prepared for that. Don't be afraid to hand wash some items in the hotel sink, though.

If you're going backpacking then there are other things to consider, such as maps, guides, long-life snacks, and water bottles. This is a real test of your creative packing skills as you are working with much less space, but will likely be on a longer trip. Think about what you will really need to get through your trip and strip everything back to the basics. You can hand wash clothing as you travel and re-wear many items multiple times.

There's a great wide world out there and it's just waiting for you to explore it, so what are you waiting for? Make sure you check out the incredible Holiday deals @ Booking.com, why not get your next trip at a bargain-basement price?

Dance To Express; Not To Impress. Dance From The Soul; Not Just From The Choreography.

It has been many years guys na di na ako sumayaw. As far as I remember, the last time that I compete in a dance battle was way-back in my college days. Indeed, I am already 30 years old now, so basically that was almost 10 years ago. But the burning passion is still in my soul specially ng sumali ako sa nakaraang STOMP Dance battle November 19, 2017 sa The Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan.

Undeniably, tumanda na nga ako pero the feeling when I heard the shout of the massive audience, the lights, the smoke and the beat of the music – it seemed that It was not a competition to me. Hence, It was like a time travel back to my younger days, those moments when I simultaneously went to school and accept dancing tutorial for an extra cash (for my allowance). I really love dancing, but when I entered to the real world – I just realized that my passion in dancing cannot subsidy my expenses .And so, I let go my passion and continue working as to what is really requisite in survival.

However, no matter how you let go and set aside your passion, it is already grass-rooted deep within – whenever an opportunity comes, it will just come out naturally. Honestly, nung sumayaw ako nito , never ko inisip na mananalo ako, ang tanging gusto ko lang maramdaman ko ulit ang feeling na nararamdaman ko 10 years ago.

With that being said, it just happened.  I savoured every beat of the music, I enjoyed the two minutes dance routine and I traveled back to where I started – a Young Jonathan Orbuda who was dreaming originally to be a professional dancer.
“How I wish, my past Grandparents witness me how I enjoyed what I did.”

“I am pretty sure, they’re proud of me”.

    WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW:

Sad part; when the music ended, it was time for me to go back to the reality. I have to go back to my 30 years old persona and leave my college memories in the history. Yet when the time I become older, I’ll surely enjoy reminiscing it while sitting on my rocking chair.

According to Philippine Department of Health (DOH), the major percentage who got reactive in HIV are Millennials. Truly, it is a trending predicament among Filipinos recently and the number who got infected is continuously growing. Yet few of us are paying attention towards the issue. We don’t even talk about it inside our home, if in case we did (with our friends), it became a subject of laughter.

Is Dental Brace Made Intentionally For Fashion?

    Advertisement by Google:

It has been a year since I started the process of having a dental brace. My first and initial reason was to be tagged as “SOSHAL” since that’s what the majority says – when you’re wearing braces, somewhat you’re capable of purchasing one as the price is quite Imeldific.

I went to a clinic situated along Boni Avenue; Mandaluyong City named Oral Wellness Dental Clinic. Dr. Chua – the dentist advised me that there are crowded teeth on the lower part and on my upper part, there is a misalignment of the two front teeth. “Nahalata ko” (I noticed) it every time I looked at it in the mirror.  In addition to that, I really have poor oral hygiene since I am too busy to allocate enough time to clean my teeth after I grabbed a bite. To sum it up, I am qualified to undergo such a procedure given that there is really needs to be corrected.

On my first week of wearing the brace, it was so tight, it was painful, it was uncomfortable and truly, I lost my appetite. So, therefore, it was a sacrifice. “Tiis Ganda”!

Dr. Chua said, “Braces is not for fashion, it is for medical purposes.”

“There are patients that after we installed the brackets, they will no longer come back assuming that it is okay to wear it for a long span of time - for fashion reason. “He added.

“We only limit the patients of wearing braces up to two years, and if not, there is something wrong with the procedures and we need to do something about it.”

“Some patients buy their own brackets and just watch DIY videos online. It is a big NO, since there is an appropriate measure in every tooth. Patronizing this approach may lead them to a serious case on the later part”

Indeed, my adherence to visiting my dentist for the adjustment is very strict. I made sure to go back to the clinic regularly so the Doctor can double-check if there is a movement of my teeth.  Having a brace is not a joke, aside from the expenses, allotting time for the visit; I also experienced numerous mouth sores.  That pain is will not justify for you to get a brace for fashion only.

October 23, 2017, I became free. Dr. Chua removed my braces as the result was very fast and successful. I got now a perfect smile and bite. However, I have two missing molars on upper part and one on my lower part – both missing teeth – I asked the dentist what are my options.

Watch the video below as Dr. Mike Chua explained the various options whenever I’m ready to avail the dentures He discussed it...

October 28, 2017. I went back to the clinic to pick up my retainer. A retainer is requisite and essential to wear after the removal of the braces to retain the corrected alignment of the teeth. It will take another year or so – for you to wear it regularly.

Meanwhile, do you still remember when I published a blog about my experience towards Oral Wellness Dental Clinic? I wrote it from my heart and from what I personally experienced without sugar-coating. I didn’t know that it became an avenue for my readers to consider visiting this clinic. I just know it when Dr. Chua personally told me and he gave thanks to me for the positive feedback.

“My patients told me that they discovered the clinic through your blog.” Dr. Chua said.

“You deserved it Doc. Indeed, my readers also deserve to know and to experience what I personally experienced” I answered.

Surprisingly, Dr. Chua gave me the retainer for free and they even included the dentures for free.

“I am giving this for free as you blogged us, you don’t need to do something for us in return. This is an early Christmas gift to you. We read your article and it was genuine “.

#PubertyChallenge is not Just a Challenge, It has a Deeper Impact.

    Advertisement by Google:
Taking a glance at your old pictures of your childhood may be the best subject of laughter with your friends; those awkward pictures wherein you look so much different and awful than today. Some of us, we even tend to hide and never show those pictures to anybody assuming that it will just embarrass us.

Puberty may be the toughest stage –e.g. rapid development of your physical attributes, a dramatic increase of hormones, heavy loads both in school and at home, and personal problems. Indeed, it is a stage of “Make or Break”, are you gonna make it?

Recently, due to the rise of social media in which we can easily share our stories online, #PUBERTYChallenge became trending among netizens. This is a challenge that online people are encouraged to post their before and after photos highlighting their adolescence stage versus their current pictures.  Truly, it was a challenge since it is extremely difficult to brag your most unpleasant photos online and show how you became visually pleasant as time goes.

Honestly, #PubertyChallenge means a lot to me. It is a way for me to look back on my past, how I started to dream and how I did the move to reach those things that I dreamt about. And now, I am already 30 years old and when I look at those old pictures, I can see Jonathan Orbuda – who used to strive. It reminds me that I need to be grateful for what I have and who I am today.

Undeniably, we always complain about the difficulties we’re currently experiencing, to the point that we forgot to remember those days we started to build our dreams.  We focus on the negative sides saying “Ang Hirap naman ng Buhay” but if you take a look at your old pictures; can you still evaluate yourself today? Where are you at today in comparison to your old pictures? Are you really living with difficulties today or you’re just not being grateful? Try to take a look at your old pictures and compare it with your pictures today – do you see any growth and development? If none, then I must say, you have the right to complain and not to be grateful.

Last week, I created the #PubertyChallenge Contest. Below are the photos of who took the #PubertyChallenge.

The winner is ANA RICA CUNANAN– she will receive a limited Youtube Sunglasses from “I Love Tansyong TV”

Bringing Back The College Day Memoirs + Meet Me Halfway Cover Song.

    Advertisement by Google:

College life is not easy in comparison to High School life. Aside from the numerous projects and expenses, there are also personal problems which may arise unexpectedly and simultaneously. There are moments that we’re about to give up.

Personally, my college days were not that easy but good thing I was able to handle it gracefully. Perhaps, it’s because I have this strong passion and impetuous of reaching my dreams- to finish my degree. It was undeniably tough “YES, IT WAS!”  But despite of those stressful experiences and mind-breaking challenges, I never ever forget how to have fun since personally I really love fun activities.  Since I don’t have enough money during that time to support (dreamed) expensive fun – e.g. going to malls, travel, bar. Then, I spent most of my spare time with my classmates singing at some Karaoke establishments around the University’s vicinity – University of Rizal System, Binangonan Campus.

In fact, right after our lunch, one of my classmates recorded this video while I was singing my favourite song – Meet Me Halfway.  I recovered this video in my old Youtube Channel (which I already deleted because I have my new one), then downloaded, and edited to become more visually pleasant.

    Watch the video below.

Good thing, I was able to save a copy of this video for the reason that by watching this – I am able to remember my college days and how it was challenging. I am able to look back where I came from – “My Humble Beginning when I was a dreamer”.  With those entire fracas – I’m very thankful because without those, I maybe weak these days.

Thank you so much for watching and see you in my next blog.

It is very beneficial to travel with friends, office-mates or even with a group of random backpackers. This is due to the fact – the more participants, the cheaper expenses will be. This is the main goal of Biyahe Ni Juan, a backpacker club that highlights of travelling in a shoestring budget. In addition, it is also advisable to travel once in a while and escape the stress from your work and the lifestyle in the urban zone.

BiyaheNiJuan is a recreational-centric group joined by numerous BPO workers with same goals. Their goal is to take a trip the cheapest way possible and to allocate a spare time for each member to travel – as much as possible when schedule permits.

“It is important that you have to spend time for yourself, and by traveling – it can help you recharge and become more positive when you go back to your work” Rambo said, one of the proponents of BiyaheNiJuan.

“In BiyaheNiJuan, we are advocating and persuading BPO Workers and alike that traveling doesn’t need to be expensive” he added.

I joined this lifestyle club because this group is truly inline to what I loved the most – to travel.  The first travel destination was Bolinao, Pangasinan.

Get Someone to Pay the Bill – My Workmate said.

Together with my friends and/or workmates, from our workplace, we headed towards Ortigas , Pasig city – a location where beers are still being offered during daytime, specially to customers who are night crawlers. Yeah, undeniably, if you’re working at night – it is quite difficult to look for an open bar during daytime; but within the heart of Ortigas, you can find it.

Meanwhile, inside the car and on our way to the said bar, we talked a random topic – what to do when you get fired from your job?

🍽 Best Bite in Bacolod – The Authentic Bacolod Inasal.

    Advertisement by Google:
Aside from its colourful Maskara festival and must-visit tourist spots, Bacolod city is popular for its Bacolod Inasal. In fact, there are numerous restaurants located around the country claiming to have an authentic Bacolod Inasal as part of their menu. But eating Bacolod Inasal,  that is being bought and eaten right in the vicinity of Bacolod City gives such feeling of genuineness.

Bacolod Inasal has a great taste that will surely make you consider of tasting once you visit this place. It has a tender and juicy flavour which is perfect partner for rice. I would also advise you to try this as pulutan with cold beer. Without a doubt, Bacolod Inasal can be eaten without a sauce because of its savoury flavour.

Inasal is a Visayan word “asal” which means to grill or roast. Inasal means roasted or grilled which is commonly used as Inasal Baboy and Manok or simply Lechon.  Inasal varies in terms of taste depending in the origin of the recipe. With Bacolod Inasal, it has distinctive taste that you can easily distinguish when you eat a roasted chicken that are coming from different location. I must say that whoever created the secret recipe of Bacolod Inasal – he/she made

The Best Foundation of Becoming a Content Creator is Knowledge.

    Advertisement by Google:
For you to become an expert, you have to start from basic. That’s what I did when I attended my first ever Youtube Workshop. I’ve been doing several videos for quite sometimes without considering the small details that might affect negatively towards the quality of my creation. By participating such workshop – I’m now meticulous when it comes to some details that needs to be done and what not.

The workshop highlights the basic camera lighting and production. The topic is very helpful especially to youtubers like who has challenges – e.g. not having time, production equipment is too expensive, general production knowledge, not sure which equipment to buy and which software to use.

During the workshop, I met a lot of content creators like Mikey Bustos and Luigi Pacheco. In addition, it was also my first time to handle an expensive camera that is mostly being used in a large film making. Seeing such thing made me more enthusiastic on achieving my dream.

The Feeling of Being Recognized and Valued.

    Advertisement by Google:
Nothing is powerful than a positive reinforcement. Indeed, being recognized and valued as an individual is such a wonderful mania that you can give to a person. It will truly give him/her a motivation to keep going, no matter what.

As a Youtube content creator, I must admit that there are times that I’m considering of giving up my channel and not to produce any content anymore. There’s only one reason –scarcity of resources.

To upload a video, there are lots of things happened behind it. It takes a full effort before having quality content. However, if I’m gonna give up on this; I’ll have no outlet anymore to showcase my artistry. My passion of sharing my content is very achievable when I’ll go online .Indeed; Youtube platform has the capacity to do it for me.

As a youtuber, I am a “ONE MAN-TEAM” – I do my script, concept, lights, filming, editing and uploading the final output. No wonder, a small youtuber like me might reach to the point of giving up. And to avoid that eminence, you need a support system that will help you to bring back the heat of your passion. Moreover, I had hard time looking for a support group that will rescue me as my friends that surround me can’t even understand the concept of “YOUTUBING”. They all just watch Youtube but never in their minds had they asked how the life of a youtuber looks like- behind the camera.

Good thing, Youtube Philippines values their creator and they brought the Youtube SPACE here in PH. Fortunately, I got a slot to film inside the said SPACE. At first, I thought that filming in Youtube Space Manila is a “One Man-Team” style but I was surprised because I was given my own production team – light men, cameraman and cinematographer – exclusively for my slot. I even borrowed money from my friend to buy a new DSLR camera just for that event; yet without my awareness, there were cameras in the studio that can be use for free. Foods are available all day long for all the people inside the space as well.

Without a doubt, I felt being valued that time. Since I was a kid, I’ve been dreaming of doing such fad –hearing the queue of “Lights! Camera! Action!”. And I can’t still imagine that I did it with the help of Youtube.  That wasn’t just the content that we successfully created matters the most, but it was the experience of meeting again with my long-time dance partner after six years and executing our dance move in front of the camera with a dramatic lights facing towards us. It was undeniably a glorifying bliss for a dreamer like me.

The Taste of Mango Flavoured Pizza in Province of Guimaras.

    Advertisement by Google:

When I visited the province of Guimaras , a lot of residents here advised me to try their pride – the sweetest mango in the whole world ; it can only be found in this province and they export it in various countries.  I’ve heard it a lot; not just hearsay but I read numerous travel blogs that are highlighting this famous mango. But “nothing-to-few” online writers wrote about this Mango Flavoured Pizza; indeed, it can only be found as well in this province.

Honestly, I just discovered it when I personally get there. It can be bought at the store named “The Pitstop Restaurant, ” which is located along the Guimaras Circumferencial Road of the municipality of Jordan. It is my first time to hear, see and taste such innovative pizza.

Obviously, since mango is the primary product of the province. Entrepreneurs took advantage of the abundance of such fruit; they innovate the usual pizza into a mango-flavored pizza that when you heard it – it will trigger your curiosity of buying and get the answer of “HOW   DOES IT TASTE LIKE?

Personally, nothing spectacular when it comes to the crust. The crust is tender especially if it is still hot. But when it comes to the topping which is mango itself, I rather preferred eating the mango separately as a fruit or as a shake rather than eating it on the top of pizza crust. I can taste the sourness from it, which is obviously normal for a mango when it went through a process of cooking. Unlike with the process of “Mango Jam”, though it undergone with the heat; sugar is added as part of the process to maintain the sweetness.

Honestly, I don’t like mango on the crust. I rather chose mango shake with pizza instead. But that was just my preference because my friends enjoyed the Guimaras Pizza. In fact, they bought a lot as a pasalubong way back home. Well. It’s a matter of preference. But I strongly suggest considering it buying and personally taste it.

If you already taste it, please leave your comments below. Maybe I just have a weird taste bud and didn’t enjoy the pizza.
