🍽️ Another Food Review: Tapsulit Pembo Branch Taguig – Filipino Comfort Food Delivered!

 If you’ve been craving classic Filipino food, this is for you! Recently, I discovered that Tapsulit—a well-loved Filipino food franchise—opened a new branch in Pembo, Taguig (Block 190 Lot 1 Hudyat St. Taguig 1630). Naturally, as a curious foodie, I couldn’t resist ordering a feast via GrabFood.

Let me share what I ordered and my honest impressions of each dish:

🥘 Crispy Liempo Kare-Kare – PHP 239

This was the star of my order. The crispy liempo was perfectly golden, with a satisfying crunch on every bite. Underneath, the rich, creamy peanut sauce hugged tender vegetables, creating that authentic kare-kare flavor we all grew up loving. Pro tip: don’t skip the bagoong on the side—it elevates every spoonful!

🐟 Bangus Belly Spanish Style – PHP 169

A true surprise. This Bangus Belly was soaked in a flavorful Spanish-style oil with garlic and herbs. The fish was tender and flaky, not greasy. I loved how the subtle spices balanced the natural richness of the bangus. A must-try for seafood lovers.

🥟 Shanghai Rolls (Pork Lumpia) – PHP 199

I’m always excited about lumpia Shanghai, and these didn’t disappoint. They were packed with finely minced pork, carrots, and seasonings, rolled in a crispy wrapper. Dipping them in the sweet chili sauce made them even more addictive. Perfect merienda , pulutan or ulam!

🍲 Papaitang Baka – PHP 169

This is for those who enjoy classic Ilocano flavors. The Papaitang Baka had a hearty, slightly bitter broth that paired beautifully with tender beef cuts and innards. It’s definitely an acquired taste—but if you appreciate authentic regional dishes, you’ll love this one.

🍳 Luncheon Silog – PHP 119

Who doesn’t love silog? This plate came with a slice of savory luncheon meat, garlic fried rice, and a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg. Simple, nostalgic, and budget-friendly—ideal for a quick breakfast or anytime comfort food.

💸 Verdict 

Overall, everything was flavorful, fresh, and packaged neatly for delivery. I also appreciate that the portions were generous—definitely sulit! If you’re in Taguig and want to enjoy comforting Filipino meals at home, I recommend giving Tapsulit Pembo Branch a try.

🎄 Christmas Breakfast Party at Banapple | A Festive Start to the Holidays

The holiday season is always a special time to bond with colleagues, and this year, our office decided to kick things off with a breakfast party at Banapple, Tuscany, McKinley Hill. At 8 AM sharp, we gathered in the cozy and inviting ambiance of the restaurant, excited to share laughs, exchange gifts, and enjoy a delicious holiday spread. The warmth of the restaurant’s interior perfectly complemented the festive spirit, making it an ideal venue for a small yet meaningful celebration.

One of the highlights of the morning was the exchange gift activity with a twist. Instead of the usual pick-a-name format, we incorporated a fun game where participants had to complete challenges to earn their gift. This added a layer of excitement and joy, filling the air with laughter. The camaraderie among us, amplified by the holiday spirit, turned what could have been a regular breakfast into an unforgettable event. 

Golden Sunshine Corned Beef and Potatoes

The food at Banapple did not disappoint, living up to its reputation for serving hearty and flavorful dishes. My friends ordered a variety of menu items, including the Hickory Smoked Barbequed Country Ribs, which were tender and bursting with smoky flavors, and the Bacon Fried Chicken Steaks with Milk’shroom Gravy, a crowd favorite with its crispy chicken and creamy gravy topped with bacon bits. For dessert, the Banoffee Pie stood out with its sweet banana and toffee filling, buttery crust, and whipped cream topping.

I personally tried the Golden Sunshine Corned Beef and Potatoes, and it was a delightful dish that hit all the right notes. The corned beef was shredded to perfection, paired with diced potatoes and caramelized onions, and served with seasoned rice and sunny-side-up eggs. The flavors were well-balanced and comforting—perfect for a festive breakfast. Price-wise, Banapple offers good value for money, with dishes ranging from ₱200 to ₱400, which is reasonable considering the generous portions and quality of food.

The combination of great food, a welcoming ambiance, and heartwarming activities made it a memorable experience for everyone.
