🎓Having a College Degree Doesn't Solely Guarantee You a Success.

We always bear in mind that after you graduate, with or without flying colors from college, you’ll end up with a very easy life. Companies will easily hire you because of your degree and once hired, you’ll earn a high income with the easy tasks; quality of life will become better and your diploma will save you from poverty.

Education is the key to success. That is what we’ve always been taught by our beloved teachers when we’re at school. But it is a big lie because Education is only one of the keys and not solely your assurance that you’ll end up with a better life. There might numerous of you who will disagree with my opinion but it is true because Education is only a tool for us to avoid ignorance and for us to build our confidence in facing the real world. We can avoid ignorance because tons of knowledge is being acquired when we study and we build confidence because of the diplomas we are given during the graduation ceremony. The norms taught us that thinking. 

Unfortunately, there are bachelor degree holders are ended up in jail, underemployed, unemployed, and worst, not able to increase the quality of life as expected. On contrary, I’ve known some successful individuals who were able to reach their dreams even if they’re not able to send themselves to school. Some became business tycoons, highest-paid artists, and well-compensated employees just because they’re exposed to reality outside the world. Responding to the fast pacing and dynamic outside world can’t be learned by just reading books and staying in a four-corner classroom listening to the teachers who you’ve thought know everything in life. But the reality is your knowledge that you will be getting inside the school – you can only use a portion of it when you go outside the school. 

Based on my personal experience, outside school is the real battle. It is always a jungle out there wherein survival of the fittest should always be practice. Companies won’t go to your graduate school to pick you up and automatically hire you right away; you have to go on job hunting, get rejected, and do it all over again until hired. In addition, not all your acquired knowledge and degree can be used in many cases. We have innumerable medical graduates like registered nurses who got paid higher in the call center industry in comparison when they practice their profession – and it is simply because of “UNDEREMPLOYMENT”.

Underemployment is a measure of employment and labor utilization in the economy that looks at how well the labor force is being used in terms of skills, experience, and availability to work. It refers to a situation in which individuals are forced to work in low-paying or low-skill jobs and education background has nothing to do with the work performed in an organization.  

Undeniably, the key to success is not solely education. It is all about how we adapt to change so quickly in line with the needs of certain skills, talent, and workforce. In fact, you can even gain a certificate online as a data analyst in six months and will get the highest-paid job after (Watch Video Here). It is you - who can wisely play against the tricky game of life.

Herbs and Spices - Pasalubong, all the way from Morocco.

Morocco, a North African country bordering the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, is distinguished by its Berber, Arabian, and European cultural influences. Marrakesh’s medina, a mazelike medieval quarter, offers entertainment in its Djemaa el-Fna square and souks (marketplaces) selling ceramics, jewelry, and metal lanterns.

The said Country is also famous for its Moroccan Spices and Herbs. Common spices include cinnamon, cumin, turmeric, ginger, paprika, coriander, saffron, mace, cloves, fennel, anise, nutmeg, cayenne pepper, fenugreek, caraway, black pepper, and sesame seeds. Spices are used extensively in Moroccan food and Cooks use it on poultry, fish, vegetables, and couscous. The Moroccan spices mentioned are, as a general rule of thumb, perfectly safe to use for normal culinary purposes and in occasional home remedies–ginger tea, as an example–but if you're interested in using spices or herbs for medicinal purposes, do consult a doctor and take time to do your own research. For me, I just used those to level up my cooking.

Mid-performance, they kept increasing the key, and guess what? Gigi absolutely slew every note like a total vocal powerhouse!

🐕‍🦺Tips on How to Become Alpha Leader Over Your Dogs.

Having a Dog in your life is not easy but the joy they bring into our lives is beyond description. Indeed, being a dog owner is not just solely calling you a “Furparent” but showing your dominance to your dog is extremely essential so they won’t control your relationship in the latter part. Dogs need a dominant, alpha leader; a being who is calm and very strong-minded. That is a dog’s natural behavior when they were living in the wilderness. They instinctually crave this leadership and guidance when they became domesticated and pet.

 

Since they do not live in pack; dogs’ lives evolve between them and humans (also known as hoomans). And so, unstable humans make unstable dogs. Size means nothing, it is all about your energy, firmness, and it is how the hooman’s feeling inside that dogs are mirroring. A hooman who lacks confidence will not have a dog who listens to their commands. 

Dog Lovers are normally emotionally unstable when dealing with a dog’s behavior. Have you seen your dogs’ eyes – the way they look at you every time you put your foods in your mouth? Undeniably, you can’t stop sharing your foods with them and it became a habit and you just noticed them jumping on you during dinner. Seems a bad behavior isn’t it? But have you asked – what drives them of becoming “One”? Well, it is simply you forgot that you’re the ALPHA; you followed your emotion which makes you weak.

In this video, I will share with you how my American Bully became submissive every time I corrected his bad behavior. 

Watch My Dog’s Reaction Being Scolded for No Reason.

Just to share, Escobar is scared of his poops because when he accidentally stepped on it, I showed him how angry I was and I even punished him. Nowadays, he makes sure that he won’t step on it and if he does, you will see him trembling in one corner assuming to be punished. 

Honestly, there is no definite way to explain how you reach this alpha position. Being dominant over your dog does not mean you should be hurting your dog. It means you must communicate to the dog who the leader is going to be. Pack leaders are not aggressive, angry, or bossy which we should not embody as hooman. We’re not dominant-aggressive, we are calm-assertive.

🧹Using Enzymatic Cleaner for Dog’s Urine and Poops.

Undeniably, pets bring joy into our lives. With Escobar, my American Bully Breed, I found myself as more of an “obliged dog owner” since I have no one to take care of him on my behalf. I am obliged to wake up every time I noticed that something smells bad coming from the bathroom.

The good thing with my dog, he knew where to pee and poops inside my condo. He also informed me whenever he finished his business by licking my feet until I wake up. But cleaning after your dogs’ pee and poop is not fun even if they’re already potty-trained. Escobar doesn’t know how to use the actual toilet and so, he peed and pooped on the bathroom’s floor. I am obliged to clean up after his business. Sometimes, he accidentally steps on his poop and runs to the bedroom which makes his poops scattered throughout my entire condo unit. 

The smell is really the challenging part of cleaning your dog’s mess. The poops can be easily removed by flashing water but urine will stay longer on the floor. I have to use detergent and Zonrox every time I wash the bathroom’s tiles

Recently, I discovered this Enzymatic Cleaner because Facebook’s algorithm recommended such a product on my feed. I purchased it and gave it a try. Enzymatic cleaners are any cleaning products that use enzymes in their formulas to help break down stains and smell. Enzymes are macromolecular biological catalysts – good bacteria, yeast, and likes, that speed up chemical reactions; this usually occurs in the body, but in the case of enzymatic cleaners, the process is used for a different purpose which for pets, it neutralizes the odor.

📺 Watch : Dogs Are Sensitive And They'll Respond To Your Emotion Accordingly.

This is the highlight of the last vlog that I just uploaded, I re-uploaded this clip because I want to give an emphasis - the sweetness of this breed which is American Bully. I never had a regret of having Him as part of my life. I am only disappointed in those people who misjudged and misunderstood this kind of dog because of how they look like. And so, in this video - I hope you'll see the soul of dogs. they're very sensitive, they can sense your fear, anger, anxiety, and loneliness; and they'll respond to your emotion accordingly.

Show them you're scared and they'll show you their dominance. 

Show them that you're the Alpha and they'll follow you even in the toilet. 

Show them your anger and they'll distance away from you. 

Show them your loneliness and they'll show you their sociable skills. 

Show them you're depressed and they'll make you feel good. 

Show them your love and their tails will wiggle when you arrive at home.

Dogs only became aggressive because of trauma and due to the way how they grew up, nurtured, and trained. Show them love and they'll show you in return. Always remember; humans can afford to leave humans. But Dogs never abandon hoomans, instead, they'll always remember you. Your smell makes them happy and relax. They'll rather sleep on your dirty laundry to keep your scent with them rather than sleeping with strangers.

🛒I Was on Panic Buying Due To COVID19 Pandemic Lockdown.

I can still remember how I was extremely worried on March 14, 2020, when I heard the news that the National Capital Region of the country Philippines will be locked down on no specific date as to when. The word “Lockdown”, it is something that made me scared of, because I only heard and saw those scenarios in the movies where the apocalypse is the main setting – all about survival. I went ahead to the nearest grocery store and spent more than 30k for three months' supply of food and likes.

I’ve forecasted that in the next few months when the government declared total lockdown, there will be no establishments opened and food will be the main problem. Panic buying happened; canned goods and noodles became scarce. In fact, you’re only allowed to buy five pieces of instant noodles and you have to go put the next day to buy again which defeats the purpose of lockdown if you keep going outside to buy such items especially if that is the only item you’re capable of buying from your tight budget.

Not to mention, there are also scheduled market opening depending on the first letter of your last name to avoid the area became congested. Those challenges and uncertainties are on the top of my head because I am only alone and those trigger my anxiety.

Undeniably, the COVID19 pandemic and lockdown happened. Numerous Filipinos lost their job; many of the people who are in the middle class became poor; there are industries being forced to close due to fluctuation of the economy.  And, as of the time being while writing this blog entry – it has been 9 months and we are still in the middle of this COVID19 battle.  I am hoping that we can make it as we’re all in this together!

💊 With the Help of Melatonin, I Solved My Sleeping Problem.

As I grew older; well  33 to be exact, and with my lifestyle – who worked in a call center in the graveyard shift,  having quality sleep is one of my goals. Working at night and forcing myself to sleep in the daytime is my normal routine for almost  15 years now, and browsing on my social media before going to bed is one of the major reasons why I am really having a hard time getting asleep. Not to mention, all the stress from the work and from my personal issues. Sleep problem arises!

Antihistamine’s side effect is my “go-to” solution. Taking such medicines even without an allergy attack became my normal routine 30 minutes before bed just to get the feeling of drowsiness. But my body became immune to it wherein I need to increase my dosage. But, what if I will have an allergy attack in the future; it’s going to be a huge predicament as normal antihistamine might no longer effective on me due to immunity. And so, I have to stop it and try to condition my body clock to wake up during the night and sleep in the daytime because of the call of duty.

Adherence to a normal sleep routine became a challenge to me in a few months because I need to render overtime at work. Well, it is not mandated but “extra money doesn’t hurt”, but unconsciously working too much and extending work hours at work – affects me negatively on my sleep pattern. Honestly, I over-rendered six hours every day at work because of the extra income that I may get and I almost forgot my health. 

Until I noticed a dramatic effect on my health because of sleeplessness, I had ulcers on my mouth, I became hypertensive at the age of 33 of 150/110 blood pressure, loss of appetite, and having behavioral problems, - (e.g. Rapid change of mood, irritability and losing the drive to work). It also affects negatively in my work performance which is measured in a monthly target. Then, I realized that I need to rest myself or else  I will suffer the consequences if  I will just ignore my health and just prioritize my work. Indeed, health is wealth especially in the middle of the COVID19 pandemic, and having a weak immune system will make me more vulnerable 

Recently, I discovered this synthetic melatonin that can be purchased over the counter. I did extreme research about this food supplement before I will take it. Melatonin's main job in the body is to regulate night and day cycles or sleep-wake cycles. Darkness causes the body to produce more melatonin, which signals the body to prepare for sleep. Light decreases melatonin production and signals the body to prepare for being awake. Some people who have trouble sleeping have low levels of melatonin. It is thought that adding melatonin from supplements might help them sleep.

According to WebMD, Melatonin is a hormone found naturally in the body. Melatonin used as medicine is usually made synthetically in a laboratory. It is most commonly available in pill form, but melatonin is also available in forms that can be placed in the cheek or under the tongue. This allows the melatonin to be absorbed directly into the body.

Some people take melatonin by mouth to adjust the body's internal clock. Melatonin is most commonly used for insomnia and improving sleep in different conditions. For example, it is used for jet lag, for adjusting sleep-wake cycles in people whose daily work schedule changes (shift-work disorder), and for helping people establish a day and night cycle.

📺 WATCH ABOUT THE MELATONIN

So far, I am using it and I actually love it. It has been a while since I experienced dreaming. And with the help of melatonin, I even achieved REM (rapid eye movement) and deep sleep. The only downside is, I am extending my sleep hours which also became a problem especially I have to wake up because of my work schedule but it is manageable. The important is, I am able to sleep and I love it. 

I do not have any plan of taking this supplement for a long span of time as it has a negative effect on health. This is just a perfect short term remedy if you are having a sleep problem that needs to be addressed. 

🍗 TIPS : My Best Practice Before Cooking Chicken Rotisserie.

Marinating overnight before cooking the chicken is our usual way of getting the flavor and seasoning absorbed into the meat. In this vlog, I will share with you my - one of the best practices when it comes to Chicken Rotisserie. 

Using a kitchen syringe and industrial needle to inject the sauce inside the chicken meat is an effective way of spreading the flavor. In addition, since the sauce is being injected into the meat, this will give more juice and tenderness to the Rotisserie.

I hope this TIP will help you to have a more savory Chicken Rotisserie.

🎋Aglaonema Red Lipstick

I am so excited because this is going to be my first time to have an Aglaonema Genus inside my room. I've been eyeing to have one especially this Aglaonema Red Lipstick variety because of its aesthetic. I love the red lining on the edge of the whole leaf. It is so amazing to look at the leaves of this living thing with an artificial impression. It looks like plastic-ish foliage, shiny and highlighted with vibrant red. 

Honestly, I don't have any idea if this will thrive indoor with zero to low light, I just bought it as a guinea pig because  I am planning to get the Aglaonema Super Red which is more expensive. If this Red Lipstick Variety will like my environment - then I might get the  Super Red soon. 

  🎋Variegated Peace Lily 

What I loved about the Peace Lily Plant, it provides human health benefits as it purifies the air. Mostly, since I live in a small condominium unit, the air is seemingly reused since I am in a closed 13.5sq meters with 24-hour air-conditioning.   

Peace  Lily is a low-maintenance plant that can thrive even in neglect. It is also not difficult to determine if the plants need to be watered, because it will show on the leaves when it drop dramatically. Not to mention, since  I worked at night; it is impossible for me to open the window during the daytime to let the sunlight come in; because  I have to sleep and so, Peace Lily is perfect for my lifestyle as it survives in zero to less light. 

The variegated peace lily is a rarer kind, I already have the normal one, and having this variety with variegation on its foliage is more attractive and exciting too. 

 🎋  Jade Pothos 

Pothos or also known as Money Plant is not new to me, to name some of my collection, I have Manjula Pothos, NJoy Pothos, Queen Marble Pothos, Silver Satin Pothos, and Neon Pothos. To add to my Pothos Collection, I purchased this Jade Pothos which has perfectly green foliage and established roots.

What I liked about this Pothos, aside from its strong survivability indoor, it produces leaves that will create a forest-like feeling inside your room. It is a climbing plant that can be hanged on your ceiling, window, or on the top of your cabinet. 

 🎋 Sansevieria Dragon Wings

I must say that this variety of Sansevieria is one of the uncommon in my collection. I have numerous Snake Plants in my room which most of them actually occupy the majority of the indoor space. This Dragon Wings variety is small and slow to grow. I became interested in this variety because of its size - perfect for an office table.
